Picnic at the Park Reveals The Rady Shell’s 2026 Summer Concert Lineup
The San Diego Symphony is hosting Picnic at the Park presented by Southwest Airlines, a free community event that gives you an exclusive look at the concert lineup for the 2026 Conrad Prebys Summer Season at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
Subscription packages go on sale the same day, making it the perfect opportunity to get a preview of what’s coming and lock in your seats for the season ahead.
Live Music, “Thriller” Moves, and a DJ
The free celebration includes performances by San Diego Symphony Orchestra musicians:
- Jing Bowcott – violin
- Julia Pautz – violin
- Jason Karlyn – viola
- Xian Zhuo – cello
They’ll be joined by singer-songwriter Gregory Page, adding another layer to the afternoon lineup. After the performances, Larisa Hall of Thriller San Diego leads an interactive “Thriller” dance tutorial, followed by a DJ set by XELESTIAL with DJ Vulkan. It’s the kind of mix that keeps the energy going all afternoon.
Pack a Picnic or Grab Bites on Site
You’rere encouraged to bring your own picnics, blankets, and chairs for the day. Food and beverage options from The Rady Shell’s partners will also be available for purchase throughout the event, so you can pack your own spread or grab something when you get there.

RSVP today to receive event updates and additions to the lineup. This event is not ticketed, and an RSVP does not guarantee admittance or a space – seating is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pets are not allowed in the seating area of The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, which also applies during Picnic at the Park.
