Queen Bee Market’s Spring Shopping Expo Set To Bloom At Del Mar Fairgrounds In May
The Queen Bee Market will spring into May with a two-day shopping expo sure to bring the shopping buzz in Bing Crosby Hall at Del Mar Fairgrounds.
The popular urban-style handmade market, described as “Etsy comes to life,” will host more than 90 local and national vendors who make their products by hand and are displayed from booths that are designed with flair. This will be the 32nd Queen Bee Market since its creation in 2010, with artisans showcasing an array of handmade home décor, accessories, clothing, paper arts, vintage items, furniture and more.
Originally vendors at the popular Queen Bee Market, sisters and North County San Diego locals, Kellie Dooley and Allison Gharst, became the owners in 2014 and hand-selected the vendors who participate in each Queen Bee Market.
A sampling of the confirmed participants thus far includes Allyson Simone BRIDES, a line of fine jewelry crafted for weddings; Hippytoes Pottery, maker of handmade and hand-painted concrete pots; Grace and Salt, a San Diego based company that creates handmade wall art; and more.
Attendees can expect live demonstrations; make-and-take stations; live music by local musicians, Sam Hunt and Aaron Nichols; and may also purchase tickets to experiential workshops. The market will also host local food trucks and beverage vendors on-site, with items available for purchase.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Children 12 years old and younger and military with ID will receive free entry. More information about Queen Bee Market may be found here.
See you there!
