Questival Hits SD This Weekend! It’s Like Amazing Race + A Good Cause!

Sometimes, a video can do what words cannot. When it comes to describing the amazingly wild, city-explorative, do-gooding (yeah, we’re making it a word), 24-hour Questival Adventure Race, this is exactly one of these cases.

So we’ll give you a video, and then we’ll try to do this thing justice with words…

…Yeah. How about the word “Wow.”

Okay, okay. On to more descriptive words…

About the race:

This weekend-long adventure race is packed with probably everything on your San Diego bucket list (and things you didn’t know should be on your bucket list), and you get to do it all as part of a team with your closest friends – or if you have an agenda, maybe just your most athletic of friends 😉

Whichever type of teammates you choose, you’ll build friendships, push yourself, experience your surroundings, and have a whole bunch of fun.

Teams of 2 to 6 people will be assigned exciting, unpredictable, and downright good things you never thought possible.

From hiking through gorgeous places to jumping into lakes and exploring city structures, we’re pretty sure it will be like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.

Here’s just a sampling of some of the San Diego-specific challenges offered this year: hiking to the Airplane Crash Memorial on Jamacha Ridge & taking a photo with the engine, visiting the oldest building in CA that’s still in use, and picking up 100 pieces of trash at a local San Diego beach (recycling what you can!).

This amazing race that is Questival takes place in over 60 cities, with the mission shared by its producer, outdoor brand Cotopaxi: Bold products. Big events. Better ways to help others.

In fact, your registration to the Questival comes complete with one of Cotopaxi’s rad Luzon backpacks ($40 value), race swag and more.

On top of competing to win over $10,000 in trips and gear, you can rest assured that Cotopaxi will make your participation (financial and physical) to put out some serious good in the world.

Need some extra motivation? Here’s one of the latest reviews from recent racer, Alisha:

“I think the best part of the entire experience is you make it what you want it to be. Do you want to read the list and find fun trails/activities to do in your city? Great! Do you want to be crazy people (like my team) and not sleep or stop for a single moment, working your hardest to do even the most simple challenges in a creative and entertaining way? Spectacular!”
