Rady Children’s Ice Rink At Liberty Station Returns To Kick Off The Holiday Season
The holiday season is about to get into full swing at Liberty Station!
Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary and NTC Foundation welcome the community to kick off the season with outdoor ice skating, as the Rady Children’s Ice Rink in ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station returns beginning Thursday, November 16!
Rady Children’s Ice Rink Supports ‘Thriving After Cancer’
Net proceeds from the rink will benefit the Thriving After Cancer program in the Rady Children’s Hospital’s Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
“Rady Children’s Ice Rink has become a staple in Liberty Station’s holiday traditions and we are thrilled to bring it back once again,” said Lisa Johnson, President and CEO of NTC Foundation. “Each year thousands of San Diegans and visitors come together to celebrate this special time of year, all while supporting San Diego families dealing with childhood cancer.”
“The holiday season is about giving back to those who might not be as fortunate, and through the return of the Rady Children’s Ice Rink, the community will be able to help support those who need it most.”
“The Rady Children’s Auxiliary is once again committed to supporting the annual Rady Children’s Ice Rink, a staple event in our community that benefits the Thriving After Cancer Program at the hospital,” said Michele Fisher, President, Rady Children’s Auxiliary.
“The program focuses on providing patients, who have completed their cancer treatments and their families the tools and education they need to advocate for physical, emotional, nutritional, and practical needs. I hope you can join us at the Ice Rink this holiday season, because your support will help hundreds of families in our region.”

Now in it’s 27th season, the ice rink will be open seven days a week from Thursday, November, 16 through Sunday, January 7. The Rady Children’s Ice Rink will be located in the Central Promenade at ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station.
Tickets can be purchased on-site or online. All tickets will include skate rental and helmets. Adult tickets are $20 and children’s tickets are $15. Discounted tickets for members of the military are $15 with the presence of a valid ID.

Special happenings at the ice rink include sponsor activations, Liberty Station’s Tree Lighting, and other holiday festivities taking place throughout Liberty Station’s Salute the Season.
