San Diego Lao Food Festival To Showcase The Diverse Cuisine & Culture Of Laos

Come taste the “richly satisfying food with deeply interesting flavors that fine dining chefs crave after work” (according to Anthony Bourdain) at the San Diego Lao Food Festival on June 17th & 18th.

This 2 -day event showcases the diverse and rich cuisine of Laos right here in Mira Mesa Community Park.

What to expect at the 1st San Diego Lao Food Festival

Expect to find a variety of food stalls selling a range of traditional dishes, from savory to sweet desserts. Some unique and delicious dishes can’t even be ordered in local Lao restaurants.

In addition to the food, the festival features live music, cultural performances, cooking demonstrations, and fun cooking competitions.

The mission of the event organizer, Lao Americans Organization of San Diego (LAOSD), is to share history and the diaspora of refugees from Laos. This festival celebrates the culinary treasures from Laos in honor of World Refugee Day.
