The Scoop Returns to North Park With Celebrity Chefs and Sweet Sustainability
Summer just got a whole lot sweeter. The 7th Annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival is rolling back into North Park, and this year’s lineup has us more excited than ever about frozen treats and community impact.

A Festival With Purpose
This isn’t just about indulging in incredible ice cream, though there’s plenty of that. Scoop San Diego is putting sustainability front and center by partnering with local nonprofit ProduceGood to create exclusive flavors using rescued produce.
It’s a brilliant way to reduce food waste while creating something delicious, and we love seeing our local food scene tackle important issues like this.
The festival’s commitment goes even deeper—100% of net proceeds benefit ProduceGood, supporting their mission to fight hunger throughout San Diego County by rescuing surplus produce.
Celebrity Chef Showdown Heats Up
New this year is the Best Ice Cream Flavor of the Year competition, and the judging panel reads like a dream team of culinary talent.
MasterChef winner Claudia Sandoval, Top Chef champion Zuliya Khawaja, and 11-time Emmy Award winner Sam The Cooking Guy will determine the winner, while festival-goers get to cast their votes for the People’s Choice award.
With 30+ vendors serving everything from traditional ice cream to gelato and paletas, the competition promises to be fierce and the flavors unforgettable.

VIP Experience Worth the Splurge
The expanded VIP experience offers early access plus bites from Michelin-starred chef Drew Deckman, fresh-churned ice cream by Pastry Chef Letha Marie Gimble, and pizza from Sisters Pizza.
Add in exclusive flavors, fast lane access, and lounge seating, and you’ve got the perfect way to beat the crowds while supporting a great cause.

Interactive Fun for Everyone
Beyond the incredible frozen treats, the Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival features interactive activations that make the whole experience feel like a neighborhood celebration. Hollandia Dairy brings blender bikes for fresh milkshakes, while Sunsets & Brain Waves offers live screen-printing of limited edition festival tees.
Families will love the Sprinkle Zone Kids Play Area and interactive mini golf, while the Pup Refreshment Area ensures four-legged friends stay cool too.
