Saddle Up for the SDMBA Archipelago Ride – San Diego’s Biggest MTB Event is Back
Spring in San Diego means one thing for the mountain biking community: the Archipelago Ride is on. SDMBA’s signature fundraising event returns, bringing riders of all levels together for a cross-county adventure that’s equal parts challenge, celebration, and community.

Two Routes, One Epic Day on the Trails
Whether you’re out for the full experience or a more manageable outing, there’s a route for you.
The Full Arch covers serious ground, taking riders on an east-to-west journey through the islands of open space between Poway and Sorrento Valley. Expect plenty of miles, plenty of climbing, and a whole lot of trail.

The Half Arch kicks off at Sundevil Way, loops around Black Mountain, and heads west through Penasquitos Canyon – a great option for those who want an epic ride without going all the way. Both routes are eBike-friendly for Class 1 and 2 riders.
Roll in to the Finish Line Luau at Gravity Heights
The ride is only half the story. When you cross the finish line, Gravity Heights is waiting with food, vendors, friends, and their always-excellent brews. Families and cheering squads are more than welcome – there’s ample parking on site, so bring the whole crew.
More Than Just a Ride
The funds raised through the Archipelago Ride go directly toward trail projects and advocacy work across San Diego County. It’s a chance to put some real miles in while giving back to the trails we all ride.
