Serenade & Strum

Serenade & Strum is a unique blend of everything familiar with just a hint of nostalga. They leave you wanting to be staring at the ocean with the warm sun on your face, with the jazz driven vocals collide with their modern hymnal style of writing. Their single “Walls” gives you enough flair to leave you enchanted for more. Lead vocalist, Jen Horning, and guitarist/male vocalist, and husband Benji Horning, started recording shortly after they were married. They’ve developed a style of writing together that fuses both of their original music tastes in such a perfect and unforgettable way. Bennji started his music career in a Hard-Core/Punk band, and Jen grew up toning her vocals to the sweet serenades of Ella Fitzgerald. Jen recalls, ‘It was a struggle at first, blending our different styles. But we eventually learned how to arrange, write, and blend our two unique skill sets to what we have today in Serenade & Strum.”
