The Classiest July 4th Party We’ve Ever Seen…

There’s no question that the 4th of July is one of the most exciting holidays in our fine city. But have you ever known it to be the classiest!?

That’s right. If you’re looking to fancy it up this year (hint: it’s that special someone’s birthday, it’s your wedding anniversary, etc.), then the Star Spangled Pops show is for you.

Kicking off the San Diego Symphony’s “Bayside Summer Nights” concert series, this outdoor tribute to the music of America will take place Friday, June 30th through Sunday, July 2nd.

Bring a blanket and have a picnic on the lawn or sip some champagne at a reserved table while enjoying audible delights from movies and Broadway to patriotic favorites, including a salute to the armed forces.

The weekend’s conductor is Lawrence Loh, a rising young conductor who was just named music director of the West Virginia Symphony and is formerly the associate conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The San Diego Master Chorale will also be delighting us with their talents.

Need to wear out the kids beforehand? Get there at 6pm to enjoy pre-concert kids activities.

Oh, and there will be fireworks!

Sounds like a pretty great twist on the 4th of July, if you ask us! For tickets  ($30+) and more info, check out the link below.
