The San Diego Symphony Performs Star Wars: A New Hope Under The Stars!
If you haven’t been to one of the San Diego Symphony’s Bayside Summer Nights Concerts yet, you really should go before they are done for the summer – they’re a unique San Diego experience!
This week, the Symphony performs John Williams’ iconic score to Star Wars: A New Hope, live-to-picture, at Embarcadero Marina Park South.
You know the story: A civil war rages in the galaxy and Rebel forces struggle against the evil Galactic Empire. Join Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Obi-Wan Kenobi (Sir Alec Guinness), Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and the quirky droid duo R2-D2 and C-3PO as the unlikely team sets out to rescue Rebel leader Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and make use of the stolen plans to destroy the Empire’s ultimate weapon.
It’s a classic, and it’s even cooler when you’re watching it under the summer stars and the music is being performed live!
Come see this pop culture classic on the three giant, bright LED screens for a movie and music experience like no other!
See you there!
