Want To Know What Planets And Physics In The Star Wars Universe Can Actually Exist?

So, you like, love Star Wars.

Well, if you’re even more like us (semi-geeky, semi-awesome, of course!), you want to know what parts of the series are actually possible in our universe, right!?

Thank goodness for the San Diego Central Library because on Saturday, May 13th, they are throwing a major bash that will have the periods to your unanswered question marks.

And get your cosplay ready because on top of answering those stirring questions, this will be one all-out Star Wars extravaganza.

Seriously. The event will be packed with live art, presentations, photo booths, crafts, kids’ costume contest, an escape room, Tusken Raider storytime, Rey’s Scavenger Hunt, Star Wars-costumed characters from the awesome 501st Legion & Rebel Legion, and more!

Artist Daniel James will be returning for this year’s event to display his Star Wars art and perform a live painting.

Dr. Lisa Will and Professor Shane Haggard will be back to present “Worlds of Star Wars,” a talk on whether all the planets and physics in the Star Wars universe can actually exist. And they will have updated planets!

The San Diego Sabers will be performing lightsaber dueling demos in the Courtyard! Come see the art and technique of lightsaber combat skills from San Diego’s premier lightsaber training group. (Are they taking job applications?!)

The list of awesomeness is just unstoppable for this party.

There will be a photo booth by AmigoBooth, a “Star Wars Villainous Costuming” presentation on the nuts and bolts of building something like Stormtrooper armor, a 10-ft inflatable Death Star, and more awesome art by Lee Kohse’s Lucasfilm/Disney-commissioned art!

And if you and your friends are feeling courageous, get “locked” in the Star Wars Escape Room and try to solve your way to escape!

Pretty sure you won’t be able to call Threepio and R2 to get you out of this one!
