Meet Rescue Dogs and Strawberry Shortcake at This Free Seaport Village Pop-Up

Comic-Con weekend gets one more reason to stick around when WildBrain’s Strawberry Shortcake and The Animal Pad bring the Purrfect Pets Pawp-Up to Malibu Farm San Diego in Seaport Village.

The Rescue Behind the Fun

The Animal Pad is a San Diego-based all-breed dog rescue that pulls dogs from risky situations across Southern California and Mexico, rehabilitates them, and works to find each one the right home – not just the fastest applicant, the right one.

The Pawp-Up gives them a fun, public stage to introduce adoptable rescue dogs to people who might be ready for one, or who might just fall in love before they know it.

The Afternoon Lineup

The afternoon is set up to be easy and fun for people and pets alike. You’ll be able to meet the Strawberry Shortcake mascot, spend time with adoptable rescue dogs, and take advantage of some seriously photo-worthy moments.

Magnolia Bakery is bringing pet-friendly pupcakes, and the event includes surprise giveaways and Strawberry Shortcake-themed activities throughout.

This pop-up also marks the launch of Strawberry Shortcake’s year-long Purrfect Pets campaign, which will spotlight Strawberry and her Berry Besties’ pets while expanding the brand’s pet accessories collection.

Just Off the Harbor

Malibu Farm San Diego sits at Seaport Village, a short walk from the San Diego Convention Center – making it an easy add-on whether you’re wrapping up Comic-Con or just looking for something to do by the water. No tickets, no reservations. Just show up.
