The Business of Art

The challenge for many artists, of course, if figuring out how to make a living from their art. The Studio Door, located in North Park, aims to help artists with the business side of selling their art work to give San Diego artists and knowledge and contacts to succeed at making art a profession.

50 To Watch is designed as a co-op opportunity. Participating artists are juried in and then share in the production costs of the publication and its mailing to create national exposure at a fraction of the cost of doing it themselves. Collectively, the program brings greater attention to the San Diego art scene as a whole! Brilliant!

Artists can apply online, and should showcase 5 – 10 pieces that represent their body of work.

Put the event on your calendar and come out to show support for San Diego’s amazing local artists!

See you there!
