Tiki Oasis Festival San Diego

Tiki Oasis Festival 2024 Theme: Way Out West

California has always been a magnet for travelers, offering attractions from gold mines to Hollywood star sightings. During the 1930s to 1960s, a new kind of Gold Rush occurred as visitors flocked west for Tiki cocktails like Zombies and Mai Tais.

California became the epicenter of the Tiki craze post-World War II, with Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic’s setting the stage.

This era also saw the rise of pop phenomena such as hot rods, theme parks, Googie architecture, the Beat Generation, surf culture, and music movements like West Coast Jazz, Exotica, and Western Swing. Welcome to the colorful history of California!

All-Inclusive Event With Core Values

Tiki Oasis prides itself on being an all-inclusive event where everyone is welcome. The festival ensures everyone feels valued, safe, and free to be their most authentic selves.

Tiki Oasis promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion, empowering marginalized groups and encouraging social justice through dialogue and action. The event also emphasizes education, the preservation of American Pop Culture, and sustainable practices for a healthier planet.
