NPR’s “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!” Heads to the San Diego Civic Theatre
NPR’s beloved comedy news quiz show, “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!,” is heading to the San Diego Civic Theatre, and this one’s worth putting on the radar.

A Show That Makes the News Actually Fun
Hosted by the sharp and witty Peter Sagal, “Wait Wait” has been a Peabody Award-winning staple of public radio for years. The format is simple and endlessly entertaining. A rotating panel of comedians, writers, and celebrity guests joins listener contestants for a rollicking run through the week’s news.
The top prize? A custom voicemail greeting recorded by one of the cast members – which is, frankly, the most delightful thing you can win on public radio.

What Happens at a Live Taping?
Every episode is recorded in front of a live audience before being edited down for broadcast. The version that makes it to radio is the polished, family-friendly cut. However, the live show is where the unfiltered opinions, the jokes that didn’t quite pass the producers, and the commentary the cast actually wants to share all come out.
The only way to hear all of it is to be there in person.

Brought to San Diego in Partnership With KPBS
The show comes to us presented by NPR in association with KPBS, San Diego’s trusted public media station. It’s a perfect night out for anyone who loves staying informed, loves to laugh, or both.
The Civic Theatre is a great setting for a live quiz show, and the energy of a room full of fellow news junkies is something else entirely.
