Fashion Week San Diego Announces Spring Showcase 2021

Fashion Week San Diego’s (FWSD) signature event, Spring Showcase, is back in 2021 as a new hybrid experience at U4RIK Distillery & Event Space. FWSD, which is now in year thirteen of operations in San Diego, was unable to host this major kickoff event in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Fashion Week San Diego Announces Spring Showcase 2021

Live on Instagram and Facebook

This annual pre-event and now live show will be aired to Instagram and Facebook on Thursday, April 22 at 6 PM, live with special guest host and emcee, San Diego’s Emmy Award-winning meteorologist, Jodi Kodesh.

In the new hybrid setup, guests can view the event virtually or in-person. Virtual viewers can enjoy the show at a viewing party or from the comfort of their own home via Instagram and Facebook.  FWSD is expecting over 1,500 guests to tune in virtually to this new way of attending the Spring Showcase.

In addition to the virtual component, 40 exclusive guests will have the opportunity to be on set in the venue that day. Not only will guests in attendance enjoy a night of fresh fashion, but will also be treated to a hosted bar by U4RIK Distillery, which is known for its signature glowing Vodka and smooth Tequila. For guests that attend in person, strict COVID safety precautions will be adhered to for entrance and masks will be worn at all times to ensure the safety of all staff and guests.

Nine designers featured

During the kick-off event, FWSD will present nine exceptionally talented designers and trending brands to the fashion scene in San Diego County while officially launching the start to another virtual fashion year.

Each designer will premiere only one sneak peek garment or accessory as a preview of their fall collection that will be presented at the official runway show in October. Featured designers include Bea Cruz Ph, EIONA by Lashonza, J2911, Dani Price, Moondust Concepts, My Generation, NALAA, Outsiders Clothing and Sierra Mitchell.

No matter how a guest elects to partake, viewers can still place orders and meet the designers online. FWSD wants to encourage the community and fashion lovers to support the creatives that are inspirations to the industry as they move into this new fashion era in a hybrid style.

Tickets for Fall Runway Show

Tickets for the official runway show in October will go on sale immediately after the Spring Showcase, with options to attend in person or watch virtually. For updates on ticket releases, guests can sign up for FWSD’s newsletter.

About Fashion Week San Diego
