Four Epic Ways to Get Wild With Nature This November
Who says November is just about turkey and sweater weather? Nature Collective is serving up four incredible (and free!) ways to fall head over heels for San Diego’s stunning natural wonderland.
Your Nature Adventure Awaits
Get ready to explore one of San Diego’s most magical spots—the San Elijo Lagoon! We’re talking about a place where fresh and saltwater dance together, where birds from around the world come to hang out, and where every trail tells a story.
Nature Collective, our local conservation superheroes, are opening their trails for everyone to experience the magic. These folks are serious about keeping our local habitats thriving, our waters clean, and our wildlife living their best lives.
Four Days of Pure Nature Bliss
Take your pick (or hey, join all four—they’re free!):
Discovery Tour (November 2)
Hit the accessible trail from 10 AM to 11 AM at San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center. Bring your camera and curiosity as we spot everything from soaring birds to native plants. Perfect for anyone nine and up. Register here.
Family Fun Day (November 3)
From 10 AM to 12 PM, the Nature Center transforms into a hub of family-friendly activities. Team up with County Parks rangers to discover cool shells and learn how to protect our Marine Protected Areas. Register here.
Wildlife Tour (November 9)
From 9 AM to 11 AM, catch the winter wildlife show featuring shorebirds, ducks, and maybe even a majestic Northern Harrier hunting for breakfast. Plus, if we’re lucky, some funky mushrooms might make an appearance. Adults only for this one! Register here.
Volunteer Restoration Event (November 16)
Roll up those sleeves from 9 AM to 12 PM and help nature thrive! Whether you’re pulling pesky invasive plants or nurturing native ones, you’ll be part of something bigger. Bring the whole family (kids 6+ welcome with guardians). Register here.
See you there!
All events require registration (because these awesome activities fill up fast!).
The San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center is at 2710 Manchester Ave., Cardiff-by-the-Sea. For the Wildlife Tour and Volunteer Event, registered participants will get location details via email.
