Friendly Feast Announces Date For Annual Chef-Driven Charity Bake Sale

Get a sweet start to spring with Friendly Feast‘s Annual Bake Sale, which will be held on Sunday, March 28th from 10:30AM to 12PM at Born & Raised. This pandemic-friendly version of Friendly Feast’s popular bake sale will feature signature goods from six of San Diego’s top pastry chefs and bakers in support of Monarch School, all in a socially distanced setting.

Bakesale participants include Yara Lamers of Ironside from Fish and Oyster, Kari Cota from L’Auberge Del Mar, Arely Chavez from Born and Raised, Melanie Stagnaro from Studio Provisions, Jose Alonzo III from Nine-Ten Restaurant and Bar, and Rocio Siso Gurriaran who is a top private chef.

Boxes will be curated with six international baked goods, including sugar and cheddar ensaymada, candied kumquat galettes, and Mexican chocolate tarts, ensuring a little something to tickle everyone’s taste buds.

Pre-Order

Boxes are priced at $35, and will be available for pre-order starting on Tuesday, March 16th, via the Friendly Feast website here. Boxes can then be picked up at Born and Raised on March 28th, with pickup times scheduled in advance to maintain social distancing.

A portion of proceeds from the bake sale will benefit Friendly Feast and Monarch School, whose mission is educating students impacted by homelessness.
