Good Time Design Announces Grand Opening Of New Gaslamp Restaurant Cerveza Jack’s

Good Time Design, the San Diego-based hospitality group responsible for such venues as The Presley, Moonshine Beach, and Moonshine Flats, is excited to announce the opening of their newest venture, Cerveza Jack’s Gaslamp, on Thursday, Feb. 18th.

Located in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, Cerveza Jack’s promises to be an oasis, offering live music, a big personality, and memories to be made. The restaurant’s outdoor patio serves as the perfect place to enjoy lunch under the San Diego sun, while in the evenings, Cerveza Jack’s invites guests to let loose and enjoy drinks and a little debauchery.

The menu

Cerveza Jack’s menu focuses on Southern Fusion, combining Southern comfort food inspired by the restaurant’s sister concept in Nashville, while maintaining the effortlessly cool attitude of the California coast. Featured dishes include Corn, Jalapeno, and Crab Hush Puppies with Cilantro Lime Aioli, Crispy Crawfish Tacos with Remolaude, Avocado Pico de Gallo, and Carolina Slaw on a Flour Tortilla, and Jambalaya Penne with Chicken, Andouille Sausage, Onion, Corn, Bell Pepper, Tomato, Scallion, Blackened Cream, and Pecorino Romano.

Cocktails

To compliment the menu, Cerveza Jack’s also offers a selection of specialty cocktails, wine, and over 40 beers on tap, Cocktail highlights include the Lavender Hooch Sweet Tea, made with Lavender-infused Hooch Vodka, Orange Blossom Water, Homemade Sweet Tea, and Lemon Juice with an Orange Wheel and Mint Sprig, the Hot Honey Paloma with Don Julio Blanco Tequila, Homemade Hot Honey, Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, and Lime Juice with a Lemon Wheel, Rosemary Sprig, and Salt Rim, and the Peach Bourbon Smash with Bulleit Bourbon, Peach Puree, Lime Juice, and Fresh Mint.

Cerveza Jack’s Nashville fundraiser

The restaurant’s sister concept, Cerveza Jack’s Nashville, has been temporarily closed since the holidays, due to damage sustained in the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville. While insurance will cover the damage to the venue, the prolonged closure has been difficult on the restaurant’s employees, causing the Good Time Design team to set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to help support those employees until the venue is up and running again. The fundraiser information can be found here.

Cerveza Jack’s Gaslamp is located at 322 Fifth Ave San Diego, CA 92101, in the space previously occupied by Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. The restaurant’s hours are Thursdays and Fridays 4PM to 10PM and Saturdays and Sundays 11AM to 10PM. The restaurant is currently open for outdoor dining only, with indoor seating to follow once restrictions are lifted. Following the opening, Cerveza Jack’s will introduce live music, starting with local talent, as well as a growler program for its extensive beer list.

See you there….and stay healthy, San Diego!
