Good Time Design Announces Opening Of Happy Does Bar In Gaslamp Quarter

Good Time Design, the hospitality group behind some of San Diego’s most iconic party venues (Moonshine Beach, Moonshine Flats) is excited to introduce their newest bar project, Happy Does. Located in the historic Gaslamp Quarter, the bar’s official opening date will coincide with the Padres Opening Day on Thursday, April 14th.

A get along hangout spot for all

Named after the song “Happy Does” by Kenny Chesney, the retro indoor-outdoor bar aims to be a get along hangout spot for all. Featuring a resident DJ, DJ Legend, who focuses on 80s, 90s and throwback hits mixed with current pop tracks, as well as forthcoming live music, everything about Happy Does will inspire patrons to leave their worries at home and embrace good times and happy vibes.

Happy Juice at Happy Does

Featuring a selection of playful drinks, Happy Does offers a fruit-forward and refreshing cocktail menu in addition to a selection of wines, beers and bubbles. Cocktails include Happy Juice with topo chico water (regular or grapefruit), fresh lime juice, el jimador blanco, tequila, simple syrup and tajín, For Funzies with hooch brothers vodka, fresh pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, ginger beer and a dash of bitters, as well as the Lychee, Lychee Bang Bang featuring butterfly pea blossom infused gin, lychee syrup, fresh lime juice, soda water, and a dash of bitters.

Satisfy your chicken craving

To satisfy bar munchies, Happy Does offers a limited menu focused on chicken tenders. Highlights include the Big Kenny Chicken Sandwich stuffed with housemade jumbo tenders, southern slaw, pickles and mayo on a buttered bun, Loaded Smiley Fries with housemade tenders, steak fries, jack & cheddar cheese, pickles, onions, cheese sauce, buttermilk and ranch, and a Happy Wrap with housemade tenders, southern slaw, pickles, steak fries, avocado, jack & cheddar cheese, buttermilk ranch in a chipotle tortilla.

Happy Does is located in the former Gaslamp Strip Club location as well as the former Dick’s Last Resort Outdoor Space on 340 5th Avenue San Diego, CA 92101.

The bar is open on Thursdays and Fridays  from 5PM to 2AM, Saturday from 12PM to 2AM and Sunday from 12PM to 10PM.
