Situated above La Jolla Cove with beautiful views of the ocean, the restaurants now occupy what used to be The Hake. The 5,783 square foot space is split between the two restaurants, with Harumama in the front and Blue Ocean Sushi appropriately located oceanfront, towards the back of the restaurant.

The two restaurants were created by local restaurateurs, Jenny and James Pyo, who own and operate Love Boat Sushi, Pokewan, Blue Ocean Robata and Sushi Bar (Carlsbad) and the two other locations of Harumama in Little Italy and Carlsbad.
