IDEA1 Hosts Sensorium, A Multi-Sensory Art Experience Themed Around The 5 Senses

IDEA1, the mixed-use community developed by Lowe, LaSalle Investment Management and I.D.E.A. Partners, will host Sensorium by Vanguard Culture at IDEA1 on June 30th.

At the immersive event, Vanguard Culture will transform 15 condo lofts into experiential, multi-sensory art experiences themed around the five senses.

The Hub, IDEA1’s outdoor collaborative space, will come alive with fine cuisine from signature chefs, live musical performances, sensory tents and a networking mixer.

Featured Culinary Contributors include:

Chef Drew Bent – Lola55 Catering
Chef Mario Medina – Vanguard Culture Culinary Director
Chef Daniella de la Puente: La Cocina Secreta
Chef Felipe Raul Lopez-Torres – Viñedos Malagón Valle de Guadalupe
Chef Jorge Fuentes – Mariscos German Beyer
Chef Melissa Mayer – The Explorers Club
Chef Dulce Nabil – Sucrée

Supporting San Diego’s Arts Community

In support of the arts community, featured artists will have the opportunity to sell their art and receive 100% of all sales. Fashion Week San Diego will also be hosting a pop-up shop by designers featured in the 5 Senses Fashion Show.

Proceeds from ticket sales will support Vanguard Culture’s programs that support quality arts journalism, industry mixers, public events, and professional development opportunities to create arts jobs, bring diverse communities together and inspire collaboration among industry professionals from the visual, performing and culinary arts.

About IDEA1

Sensorium is one of many signature events at IDEA1 supporting the IDEA District’s vision of becoming San Diego’s innovation, design, education, arts and technology hub.

With a total of 295 apartment homes, 5,000 square feet of restaurant space, and 7,700 square feet of creative office space on the street level and a variety of common areas, IDEA1 is designed to help grow a community of entrepreneurs and fuel change makers, visionaries and professionals.

The mixed-use development’s co-working spaces and events also align with the IDEA District’s goal to create thousands of design and tech jobs across 35 city blocks in Downtown San Diego’s Upper East Village.

We’re big fans of what they are doing, and this event looks like a perfect opportunity to get a sense of their vision!

See you there!
