Introducing NIMA, San Diego’s Newest Event Space

Brian Malarkey’s NIMA is thrilled to debut it’s new private events program. NIMA, the cafe-by-day counterpart to Animae, is now equipped to host anything from engagement celebrations to corporate soirees.

Up to 85 guests reception style or 65 guests seated will be able to enjoy Pan Asia American cuisine from Animae’s kitchen while experiencing NIMA’s urban lush design elements and exquisite views of downtown San Diego’s skyline.

NIMA was designed by acclaimed Los Angeles-based design firm Bells + Whistles in collaboration with Puffer Malarkey Collective’s Christopher Puffer. The space features pops of lush greenery across the ceiling, eluding to an upside-down Zen garden, minimalist angles of natural stone, yakisugi-ita walls, and a custom terrazzo floor.

Giant windows flood the space in natural light during the day and city lights at night. The curated retail space and movable furnishings allow the cafe to be transformed into the perfect rentable space for unforgettable private events.
