Social Syndicate To Open New Ocean Beach Restaurant In Fall 2019

Social Syndicate, San Diego’s restaurant group known for popular restaurants such as Wonderland Ocean PubOB Surf Lodge and The Local Eatery & Drinking Hole, announced plans to open its newest restaurant called La Doña in Ocean Beach.

Debuting in Fall 2019, the cantina-style restaurant will feature fresh homemade tortillas and a variety of creative tacos with fresh and locally-sourced seafood. The venue will offer indoor and outdoor seating with over 4,100 square feet of space.

Design

Partnering for the third time with design firm Tecture, Social Syndicate’s La Doña concept and décor are inspired by the vibrant culture and buzzing energy of Mazatlán and mid-Mexico. The design uses premium quality, natural and sustainable materials that feel authentic, drawing from the relaxed, casual and genuine nature of the neighborhood.

La Doña’s indoor and outdoor seating will be accentuated by floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing patrons to enjoy beautiful days while sipping signature cocktails made from a wide range of mezcal and tequila.

“We are looking forward to bringing La Doña’s upbeat vibe to Ocean Beach,” said Brendan Huffman, CEO of Social Syndicate. “La Doña represents our expansion into Mexican cuisine and brings a unique menu to the Ocean Beach food and beverage scene. The neighborhood has always been welcoming, and we are proud to introduce our newest restaurant concept to this community.”

La Doña is a collaboration between Social Syndicate’s board of directors and Ocean Beach operators Hoffman Leung, Mina Desiderio, and the Braun brothers (Blue Water Seafood).

La Doña will be located a block away from Ocean Beach Pier at 1852 Bacon Street.

We’re looking forward to it!

See you there!
