Liberty Station’s Annual Halloween Costume Contest Goes Virtual

While Liberty Station must forgo its annual Halloween celebration, the historic Point Loma neighborhood remains a go-to destination to sport festive getups with a virtual costume contest and fall-themed photo ops staged around the property.

Plus, a handful of restaurants are offering themed food and beverage specials alongside complimentary goodie bags for kiddos to celebrate the season.

Virtual costume contest + festive photo ops

Liberty Station invites guests to participate in a virtual costume contest throughout the month of October. Strike a pose anywhere around campus and upload the photo to Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, making sure to hashtag #HalloweenAtTheStation.

Contenders will be entered to win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes from Kids, Families, and Pets categories (plus Most Creative and Fan Favorite picks). Prizes include gift cards from Liberty Station businesses including Stone Brewing, Solare, The Presley, Pigment, Moniker Coffee, Liberty Public Market, The Hot Spot, and more!

Visitors are also encouraged to Follow the Anchor throughout our historic hub to locate festive photo ops, complete with Fall décor of haystacks, corn stalks, and pumpkins galore. For more information, go to HERE.

Slater’s 50/50

Home to local brews and craft burgers, Slater’s 50/50 is offerings a selection of dangerously delicious bites. In addition to their aptly-themed “Goul Shake,” Slater’s signature Vampire Dip and Vampire Flatbread are getting Halloween upgrades. Plus, kids who dine in their favorite costume will be treated to a complimentary milkshake.

The Presley

From October 30th to November 1st, weekend revelers can indulge in a limited-time cocktail special; the “Presley Potion” is crafted with light rum, strawberry puree, and fresh lime juice. The family-friendly eatery will also be giving away free goodie bags to the costumed kiddos.

Liberty Public Market

During Halloween week, Liberty Public Market will be offering boo-zy specials, including a program of eerie elixirs from Mess Hall Bar. Plus, on Thursday, October 29th, Modern Times will be hosting a tap takeover at Bottlecraft, to showcase their latest seasonal release.
