The Lullabar, A Wellness Cafe For Moms, Opens In Carlsbad This Fall

The Lullabar – a wellness cafe for mothers and caregivers to receive self-care services while the little ones are safely entertained in the play gym nearby – will be opening their first location this November 2022 at The Beacon La Costa in Carlsbad.

Your home away from home

The concept for The Lullabar came about during Covid in 2021 by founders Stephanie Issa and Christine Ong Forsythe. Compounded with the intensity of the national lock down, both Issa and Forsythe felt the need to open a safe place for mothers and caregivers to remedy the feeling of isolation. “We want moms to feel at home at The Lullabar, not a nuisance.”

Three amazing moms says, “We hear you”

Issa and Forsythe, being new mothers, also experienced the social limitations of motherhood very quickly and felt that doing anything outside of the house with small children was very difficult. “We quickly realized that public spaces and businesses were not flexible to parents at all, and to be honest, even visiting a coffee shop made us feel unwelcome.”

After a few months of business planning and strategizing, they decided to bring on a third partner, Christine Armani Dawood, a mother of three and an experienced business professional. Three heads are better than two, right?

This November, mamas, mommies, nanas, you all now have a go-to place whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or just simply want to take your well-deserved “me” time! DADS? Yes, you’re welcome, too!
