Monzu Fresh Pasta Celebrates Three Years With A Week Of Dining Events

Three years after opening in the heart of East Village, Monzu Fresh Pasta will celebrate its anniversary the first week of June with a trio of ways to load up on Italian-style carbs. From a cheese-themed wine dinner to the limited-time return of Monzu’s brunch, and the debut of several new seasonal dishes, Monzu Fresh Pasta’s upcoming three-year anniversary gives foodies many reasons to dine, whether gathering indoors or on Monzu’s newly-built outdoor patio.

A cheese-themed wine dinner

Monzu Fresh Pasta’s 3rd Anniversary Wine Dinner will take place Tuesday, June 1 from 7 to 9PM with three courses focused on creative variations of mozzarella from Mozzarella Concept, paired with wines from Italy’s Campania region. This dinner marks Monzu’s first prix fixe event since pre-pandemic times.

Courses will include a braided mozzarella with watermelon, tomato, basil and onion; pinsa topped with grilled and chili-smoked mozzarella, sausage and rapini; and for dessert a sweet pistachio cream burrata.

Priced at $60 per person, tickets are required and available via Eventbrite.

The launch of their summer menu

Then, beginning Wednesday, June 2, Monzu Fresh Pasta debuts its summer menu including Prosciutto, Fig Spread and Stracciatella Pinsa; Watermelon Burrata; the Sicilian eggplant dish Caponata Siciliana; and Pork Tenderloin with Purple Yam Purée and Apple Salad.

In addition to these new seasonal dishes, Monzu has launched a weekend fish market special featuring local fresh catch, announced each week on Instagram.

A one-day-only Italian brunch

Finally, Monzu Fresh Pasta will close out its anniversary week with a One-Day-Only Italian Brunch served on Saturday, June 5 between 10AM and 2PM. Morning menu favorites will include an inventive Spaghetti Frittata, the classic Italian pastry Sfogliatelle Napoletane, Nutella Flatbread, Salmon & Burrata Croissant, Prosciutto & Egg Croissant and more. Brunch drinks will include orange, strawberry and mango mimosas and another classic cocktail choice for Italian-style dining, the Aperol spritz.
