A Slice Of The Pi: North Italia Welcomes Regional Pizzas To Its Menus In Honor Of Pi Day

Handcrafted, modern Italian concept, North Italia, will celebrate Pi Day this year with a series of regionally-inspired pizzas that represent the freshest ingredients and diverse culinary traditions of communities from coast to coast.

North Italia Welcomes Regional Pizzas To Its Menus In Honor Of Pi Day

Each market will have its own unique regional pizza addition to its menus, replacing
the rotating “Chef’s Daily Pizza” special for a limited time. In North Italia’s California locations, guests will enjoy a Korean BBQ Short Rib pizza featuring Gochujang tomato sauce, smoked mozzarella, braised short rib, shiitake mushrooms, pickled Fresno chilis, grana padano and scallions/ herb mix with garlic oil.

According to Executive Chef David Moldovan, “The main influence behind our pizza is the diverse mix of Asian cultures and phenomenal options of Asian cuisine in SoCal. You can get some of the best Korean BBQ, yakatori, udon, ramen and sushi in our area. Specifically, we love the plentiful options of Korean BBQ, which is always a great opportunity to bring families and friends together to share memories and meals.”

With each purchase of a specialty regional pizza, North Italia will donate $1 to its national charity partner, FoodCorps, to support the non-profit’s mission to provide access to healthy food and nutrition to school-aged children nationwide. These limited-time pizzas will be available for dine-in, takeout via online ordering here, or delivery via DoorDash.

Other regional pies across the country include an Andouille Creole pizza in Houston; a
Philly Cheesesteak pizza in King of Prussia, PA; a Tasso Ham and Pickled Collards pizza in
Nashville and Birmingham; among others nationwide.

WHEN:     March 14 – 31, 2021

WHERE:  North Italia locations nationwide

The Korean BBQ Short Rib pizza will be available at North Italia’s locations in Irvine, El Segundo, Santa Monica, Del Mar and San Diego Fashion Valley.
