North Park Breakfast Company Joins San Diego’s Brunch Scene
The highly anticipated morning eatery, North Park Breakfast Company, has officially opened its doors in the neighborhood of North Park! With a menu from their unexpected flavor renditions and comfy, cozy demeanor, the restaurant is expected to become a local staple and North Park’s “go-to” for brunch lovers.
Fashioned to impress
From the same owner/founder of San Diego’s fastest-growing breakfast concept, Breakfast Republic, this new eatery brings the same culinary zeal, plus its own re-imagined spins on morning classics to the city’s booming brunch realm. Offering everything from vegetable-forward cocktails to “sweet-meets-savory” creations, North Park Breakfast Company is fashioned to impress.

Situated in a 2,125 square-foot space along University Avenue’s bustling stretch, the restaurant features eclectic décor reminiscent of a timeless neighborhood coffee shop – an idyllic setting for a plate of Banana Bread Pancakes, or a sprightly morning libation, such as their Carrot Cocktail infused with Aquavit, lemon, carrot juice and serrano bitters.
Other signature plates include Mashed Potato Waffles, Chicken Confit & Grits, and Peach & Almond French Toast, to name a few. The restaurant also boasts a patio on the first level and a rooftop deck for dining al fresco all year round – and the only rooftop dining in the entire neighborhood of North Park
As a part of the San Diego-based Rise & Shine Restaurant Group, this is the consortium’s 13th restaurant location overall, adding to eight Breakfast Republic outposts, three Fig Tree Café locations, and San Diego’s popular Mexican establishment, El Jardin. Owner/founder of the food-centric operation, Johan Engman, has become a local icon and industry pioneer, with his travel-driven inspiration and undying hunger for innovation fueling his growing restaurant empire. He has recently ventured into Orange County, with the opening of Breakfast Republic Irvine, with additional restaurant concepts to come to the OC later in 2019.
