Ocean Park Inn In Pacific Beach Now Open And Ready To Host Your Staycation!

Looking for a staycation idea to break up the quarantine blues?! The Ocean Park Inn (OPI), a family-owned and operated hotel located in the heart of Pacific Beach, re-opened to guests on June 12th after completing the first phase of a major renovation that makes it an ideal staycation destination!

The beachfront hotel, ideally situated on the iconic Pacific Beach boardwalk just steps from the sand, has 71 brand-new guest rooms and refreshed common areas were envisioned by Los Angeles-based bespoke interior architectural design firm, Clear on Black. The mid-century meets the beach vibe, complete with accents in tribute to the hotel’s original Tiki-themed design.

“The reopening of San Diego hotels to leisure guests and the completion of the first phase of our reimagination couldn’t have come at a better time,” said CEO & President Elvin Lai. “Our new guest rooms are the perfect place to relax and cure cabin fever for locals and they’re a great oceanfront getaway for singles and families planning summer road trips.”

The sophisticated, streamlined furnishings and vintage local photography in the guestrooms are paired with crisp hues of cool mint green, black, white and soul-warming, sun-drenched yellow that creates an atmosphere of pared-down elegance and chic retro luxe.

With the sparkling Pacific Ocean as the backdrop, guests can also enjoy the sunshine on the brand new pool deck that will be unveiled at the end of June.

The final phase of the renovation, scheduled to be completed in fall 2020, will include the complete redesign of the lobby and building’s exterior façade to complement the mid-century aesthetic of the interior.

As the hotel will look a little different, so will the guest experience as OPI will temporarily realign hotel operations in the wake of COVID-19. New guest services and enhanced health and safety protocols are designed to ensure the wellness of guests, staff, neighbors, and friends in Pacific Beach. In place of its standard continental buffet breakfast, OPI is partnering with local bakeries to offer handcrafted artisan breakfast pastries. The hotel has also partnered with several well-known Pacific Beach eateries to offer in-room dining for lunch and dinner.

Our beautiful beaches and boardwalks are now open for all activities, including surfing, paddleboarding, swimming, and sunbathing – make the location of this hotel an ideal spot to experience San Diego like you should!

And, of course, you can’t beat the sunsets, ocean breezes, and the sounds of crashing waves you’ll get from your private balcony.

‘Cabin Fever’ Special Offer

OPI will offer a “Cabin Fever Cure” special featuring 20% off stays booked through June 30 with flexible cancellation policies. Guests can redeem the offer using the code “THNYOU20” at checkout

See you there!
