Open-Air Dining On The Streets Of Little Italy! Bellissimo!

We’re thrilled to report that the streets of Little Italy will be closed to cars and open for ‘al fresco’ dining this weekend!

Anyone who’s been to Italy knows that there is nothing like eating outside at an Italian cafe to experience the full energy of the culture – now that experience is coming to San Diego.

The streets noted below will be closed to expand open-air dining, creating a safe 30-foot physical distancing promenade that will help restaurants alleviate the loss of indoor seating.

That’s smart business and a fun new dining experience!

Street closures include:

India Street from W. Ash to W. Grape Streets

W. Date and W. Fir Streets between Kettner Boulevard and Columbia Street.

Physical distancing protocols will be followed and interested diners will be required to make reservations at their restaurant of choice in advance.

Outside the Al Fresco dining zone on India Street between W. Ash and W. Grape Streets, there are several other restaurants and businesses opening for dining and shopping.
