From Pop-Up to Permanent: The Journey of Pepino

Pepino started as a neighborhood breakfast pop-up by the talented local chef, Sebastian Becerra, who has honed his craft at Michelin Starred COI and Rich Table in San Francisco, Eleven Madison Park in New York, and Herb & Wood right here in San Diego.

While the Pepino team gears up to open their first brick-and-mortar location next door, Chef Sebastian is giving fans a delicious preview with these pop-up events.

Expect to enjoy an array of delightful treats, including Shakshuka on Toast, Peruvian-influenced breakfast burritos and sandwiches, and creative pastries like Dulce de Leche stuffed chocolate muffins. Pair these with a cup of coffee or fresh fruit juice, and you’re in for a Sunday morning treat.

Menus will be released weekly, so be sure to sign up for Pepino’s email newsletter here and follow their Instagram page to stay updated.

Support the Dream: Pepino’s Kickstarter Campaign

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Pepino is also launching a Kickstarter campaign on August 1 to support their journey to a permanent location.

With rewards ranging from exclusive Pepino apparel and merch, courtesy of San Diego-based Top Drop Merchandise, to private dinners and full buyouts prepared by Chef Sebastian, there are plenty of ways to get involved and support this exciting new venture.

See you there!

From 8 AM to 12 PM (or until sold out), you can catch the Pepino Pop-ups at the charming Michele Coulon Dessertier, located at 7556 Fay Ave, La Jolla.

Mark your calendars and get ready to taste the future of La Jolla’s food scene with Pepino this August!

See you there, San Diego!
