Rooftop Cinema Club Celebrates Spooky Season With A Month-Long Halloween Party In October

Already the most-popular outdoor cinema in San Diego, Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero at the Manchester Grand Hyatt is now the one-and-only destination for Halloween films with the entire month of October being dedicated to the top trick-or-treat flicks of all-time.

And it’s not a party if you’re not wearing a costume, so to get into the true spirit of Halloween, all guests who rock a costume at any screening during the month of October will be treated to some free candy to enjoy during their film.

In addition to its October Halloween celebration, RCC Embarcadero is taking full advantage of its new LED screen to offer more opportunities than ever for families to come on down and enjoy a weekend afternoon at the movies. Traditionally an 18-and-over venue, RCC offers 5PM all-ages matinees every Thursday-Sunday and new for October, mid-afternoon matinees are being added to the docket on Saturdays and Sundays with start times between 2 to 2:45PM.

Rooftop Cinema Club is not like a regular Rooftop, it’s a cool Rooftop, and every Tuesday night, teen moviegoers 13-and-older are invited to attend the 8 p.m. prime screening featuring popular coming-of-age flicks. Every teen who shows a valid junior high or high school ID at the concession stand will receive a free box of candy. And for parents, RCC suggests checking out the film’s rating before making plans as ratings will vary.

Sing-Along

Oct. 6 – The Greatest Showman

There’s no better way to enjoy one of America’s favorite movie musicals than by singing along with the characters on screen! Rooftop Cinema Club is handing off the mic so guests can belt out their favorite hits from The Greatest Showman during this interactive, sing-along experience!

Rooftop Cinema Club’s dog-friendly “Wooftop” screenings are back for guests to bring along their furry friends.

RCC Embarcadero is celebrating the master of horror this Halloween season by screening one of Stephen King’s films, but the decision on which film will be featured is being handed over to the fans. Guests are invited to vote for the Stephen King movie they’d like to see at the Rooftop the night of Oct. 28. Voting can be done here. The polls will close on Oct. 14 and the winning film will be announced Oct. 15.

Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero is located at the Manchester Grand Hyatt (1 Market Place, San Diego, 92101) on the open-air 4th Floor Sport Terrace of the Harbor Tower with stunning skyline views.

As part of COVID-19 precautions, Rooftop Cinema Club tickets are sold exclusively online. Walk-up ticket sales are not available, and booking fees apply.
