Pop Pie Co is a great option for amazing pie any time of year, but they are a MUST during Thanksgiving! You MUST pre-order, and they are selling out fast!
Provisional Kitchen
Freshly baked holiday pies will be available for pick-up at Provisional Kitchen – the restaurant-market hybrid at the Pendry Hotel – from November 18 to 24. Choose a nine-inch classic spiced pumpkin pie or cranberry crostata pie. Priced at $35 each.
George’s at the Cove
George’s at the Cove is selling Aly’s Pies for the Thanksgiving holiday from Pastry Chef Aly Lyng. The pies are $38 each, with the option for gluten-free at no extra charge, and they can be picked up beginning at 12PM on either Wednesday, November 22 or Thursday, November 23.
Three flavors are available: Apple Cranberry Crumb (Granny Smith and Honey Crisp apples, fresh cranberries, candied ginger, oat streusel topping), Bourbon black bottom Pecan Pie (bourbon, orange, 64% dark chocolate), and Honey Pumpkin (Chantilly, pepitas). Pies can be ordered by visiting here.
Aly’s Pies started as a pandemic-driven independent business where Chef Aly baked and sold pies through Instagram, delivering them herself across different locations for about four months. Chef Trey Foshee noticed her talent and introduced her pies at George’s for Thanksgiving in 2021. Later, her pies became a permanent fixture on the dessert menu at Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill & Oysters, with flavors changing every two weeks. Aly has been the Pastry Chef at George’s since 2016, with a total of 12 years working there, starting as an intern during culinary school at Grossmont College.
Frost Me Cafe & Bakery
We have to admit that we are suckers for everything at Frost Me Cafe & Bakery in Little Italy! It’s our absolute go-to for coffee and a pastry anytime we are in Little Italy. Their pies will NOT disappoint!
Arely’s French Bakery
Arely’s French Bakery in Clairemont is making sure one of Thanksgiving’s vital components goes above and beyond: pie! Clairemont’s go-to French eatery and patisserie will be dishing out hundreds of pies for pick up including Banana Cream, Apple, Pumpkin, and Pecan with 24 hour notice.
The restaurant will be open until 3PM Thanksgiving Day for pickups of all kind, including their seasonal pumpkin spice croissants, fall leaf gingerbread cookies, turkey shortbread cookies, créme brûlée, baguettes for the holiday dinner table and so much more.

The Trust Restaurant Group team knows good food, and their pies at The Wise Ox Butcher Shop are no exception!
It’s been said that Chef Jeremy’s apple pie might be the best in all the land, and we aren’t going to argue the point. Available for pre-order at the shop or online. It’s a take-and-bake situation; instructions are on the box.
Betty’s Pie Whole (Elizabethan Desserts)
Elizabethan Desserts (formerly known as Betty’s Pie Hole) in Encinitas makes some great pies! They don’t have any details on their website regarding Thanksgiving pies, ordering deadlines, etc – but we know from previous experience that they tend to sell out fast. Pre-order early!
Susie Cakes
It’s beginning to look a lot like pie season. While we debate puh-con vs. pea-can pronunciation, you can plan your Thanksgiving desserts with Susie Cakes!
What’s baking: pumpkin, pecan, apple, and pumpkin pies, and pumpkin cheesecake and cranberry orange cake, served with the option of homemade whipped cream.
Everything we’ve ever had from Susie’s is over-the-top good! Order today! They recommend that you order by November 19 for guaranteed availability for Thanksgiving.
