Sammy’s Gives Away Free Giant Messy Sundaes To Military Families On Veterans Day (Also National Sundae Day)

Sammy’s Food + Wine honors veterans and all military families this Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11, with a Giant Messy Sundae. This Veterans Day also happens to be National Sundae Day (Nov. 11) – so Sammy’s is adding ice cream to the acknowledgement!

Founded by a Veteran

Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza opened its doors in 1989, in La Jolla, Calif. by local restaurateur Sami Ladeki – himself a Veteran.

“Being a U.S. Veteran myself, I respect our U.S. veterans and military families for all that they have done and their sacrifice for our country, and this is just one small gesture of thanks – celebrating in the best way I know, with food!” said Ladeki.
