San Diego Plays Hard For Dogs: Kick It For K-9s Event

They take surfing lessons, go shopping, have their own beaches, and hang out in local breweries. Clearly, San Diego dogs are living the good life.

San Diegans are world-famous dog lovers. In fact, on July 1st, 2015, San Diego became the first county in the United States to have the policy of zero euthanizing of healthy or treatable shelter dogs and cats. (Once again San Diego, you are amazing.)

To maintain this policy, San Diego has to continuously work extremely hard. Local animal charities are on the front line, and they need our help!

On June 3rd, Second Chance Dog Rescue and the Frosted Faces Foundation are holding a Kick it for K-9s Charity Event in Pacific Beach. Held at the PB Recreation Center, teams representing each charity will be playing in a lively game of kickball. Come show your support!

Ticket price includes watching the game, food, a free shirt and matching shirt for your dog, doggie swag bags, raffle participation, a bake sale, and more.

Proceeds go to the two charities. And both charities definitely deserve crowds of screaming fans from the sidelines.

Frosted Faces Foundation rescues, treats, and adopts out senior animals. It also provides crucial support to families struggling with the costs of veterinary care for senior pets.

Big hearts, wonderful charities like these, and San Diego’s love of dogs have immeasurably improved and saved the lives of so many animals. When we all play together, every dog wins. So let’s kick it, San Diego!

Note: This is a very dog friendly event, so bring your pups!
