San Diego Style Blogger Nihan Gorkem Shows How To Glam It Up For New Year’s Eve!

We asked San Diego style, travel and beauty blogger extraordinaire Nihan Gorkem to share with us some tips on how the ladies can glam it up this year for the New Year’s Eve parties!

We knew Nihan loves a bit of glam in her style, and she didn’t disappoint!

For her first look, she chose this velvet jumpsuit by BB Dakota, which she found at Mimi & Red Boutique in North Park San Diego.

“I knew I had to style it my way – the glam way. NYE is around the corner, so this would be a perfect look if you’re celebrating at a hotel or a house party. It’s chic, comfy and a show-stopper look,” says Nihan.

The shoes she picked for this look are these gold strappy sandals from Steve Madden, which are currently on sale for $49.99, and you can even get 50% off that price with the code JOY.

If you follow Nihan on Instagram, then you know her current obsession is with faux-fur coats. She got this faux-fur coat from H&M, which you can find in three different colors for $49.

“This look reminds me of how girlfriends of drug dealers or rich club owners were dressed in 70’s and 80’s movies like Scarface. Who else remembers Michelle Pheiffer’s outfits? One of my all-time favorite wardrobes from classic movies.”

We couldn’t agree more – this look is hot!

For her second look, she chose to add some glitters, shimmers, and sequins with this sequin slip dress from Topshop Fashion Valley. After all, New Year’s Eve is the best excuse to be a little bit more extra and go crazy on the sequins!

“This slip dress screams disco to me. While it reminds me of the 70’s glam disco ball vibes – it also has 90’s minimalist style of modern and trendy. The iridescent sequins shine when the sun hits them, so you’ll notice in some pictures that I shine like a disco ball!”

“Due to my current faux-fur addiction, there was no other jacket option for me to style this dress other than this pink faux-fur jacket from Obey. I finished this look with black velvet high-heels from Steve Madden Fashion Valley and a clutch with a star detail.”

New Year’s Eve is the perfect opportunity to glam it up and have some fun with your style – enjoy it! Thanks for the tips, Nihan!

Happy New Year!
