San Diego’s Best Ways To Celebrate Mother’s Day At Home
With our new #quarantinelife making it hard to remember what day of the week it is, it can be easy to forget that Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday – but don’t let it happen!
While the celebration is sure to be low key this year, these San Diego eateries and shops are offering Mother’s Day specials to ensure mom still gets spoiled on her special day.
In honor of Mother’s Day, The Gluten Free Baking Company is offering cookie kits, pizza kits, and pampering kits to treat mom on her special day. The kits are available for pre-order and can be picked up on Saturday, May 9.
The pizza kit includes a par-baked crust, cheese, and tomato sauce (vegan options are available,) and costs $20, while the cookie kit, which costs $13, includes the makings for classic sugar cookies, along with fun mix-ins.
For those looking for a gift to accompany the baking kits, The Gluten Free Baking Co. has curated a pampering kit full of locally crafted goodies. Pampering kits include little luxuries like a hand-poured soy candle from Bella Vie Candles, passionfruit chocolate from Deux Cranes, and Single Origin Columbian Specialty Coffee from Seven Seas Roasting Co., all of which are vegan and gluten-free.
In addition to the pampering kits, the bakery is also now offering Begin Within Healing Journals, designed for those with chronic illness or other health-related challenges to document things like nutrition, mood, medications, symptoms, challenges, and accomplishments. Orders can be made via The Gluten Free Baking Company’s website here, and can be picked up from either the North Park storefront or the Clairemont wholesale bakery.
Ranch 45 is offering two options to spoil mom this Mother’s Day ―a dedicated Mother’s Day menu, as well as Mother’s Day meal kits. The meal kits take the work out of cooking up a special Mother’s Day meal, while still allowing dad or the kids to add that special finishing touch. With offerings such as crepes, mimosas, and breakfast burritos, Mom is sure to feel pampered on her special day.
The Mother’s Day meal kicks are available for pre-order via Ranch 45’s online ordering form here, and picked up at the Solana Beach eatery, while the Mother’s Day menu will be available for takeout.
For those looking to treat mom to a delicious Mother’s Day brunch, neighborhood eatery Madison on Park is offering take-out from 9:00AM-1:00PM featuring the restaurant’s approachable Mediterranean and Southern California fare.
Moms can enjoy dishes like the Mediterranean Breakfast and Paleo Bowl, mimosas, brunch cocktails and coffee. Perfect for the whole family, kids will enjoy favorites like the Waffle Churro Sticks, while dad can sip on a Carajillo, crafted with fresh espresso, Licor 43 and orange peel. Delivery is available through Postmates and DoorDash, or by calling the restaurant directly for take-out, (619) 269-6566.
Get your Rosé, Roses & Relaxation for the mom in your life, working overtime with the cooking, cleaning, and homeschooling. Their baskets will celebrate that special woman and give her a much-needed break.

Enjoy a meal for parties of 2, 4 or 6 people complete with fresh-baked pastries, seasonally inspired flavors and add on a bottle of Louis Roederer bubbles for mimosas and toasting.
