San Diego’s Best Ways To Celebrate Mother’s Day At Home

With our new #quarantinelife making it hard to remember what day of the week it is, it can be easy to forget that Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday – but don’t let it happen!

While the celebration is sure to be low key this year, these San Diego eateries and shops are offering Mother’s Day specials to ensure mom still gets spoiled on her special day.

‘Pampering Kits’ from The Gluten Free Baking Company

In honor of Mother’s Day, The Gluten Free Baking Company is offering cookie kits, pizza kits, and pampering kits to treat mom on her special day. The kits are available for pre-order and can be picked up on Saturday, May 9.

The pizza kit includes a par-baked crust, cheese, and tomato sauce (vegan options are available,) and costs $20, while the cookie kit, which costs $13, includes the makings for classic sugar cookies, along with fun mix-ins.

For those looking for a gift to accompany the baking kits, The Gluten Free Baking Co. has curated a pampering kit full of locally crafted goodies. Pampering kits include little luxuries like a hand-poured soy candle from Bella Vie Candles, passionfruit chocolate from Deux Cranes, and Single Origin Columbian Specialty Coffee from Seven Seas Roasting Co., all of which are vegan and gluten-free.

In addition to the pampering kits, the bakery is also now offering Begin Within Healing Journals, designed for those with chronic illness or other health-related challenges to document things like nutrition, mood, medications, symptoms, challenges, and accomplishments. Orders can be made via The Gluten Free Baking Company’s website here, and can be picked up from either the North Park storefront or the Clairemont wholesale bakery.
