Two Days Of Borderless Wining & Dining At The Westgate

Is it just us, or has September been a crazy busy month?!

Of course, the only honorable way to say goodbye to such a stressful month is to indulge ourselves in a two-day borderless wine and dine event – are we right?!

Lucky for us, The Westgate Hotel has teamed up with the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego, to host a regional culinary experience Friday, September 29th, and Saturday, September 30th.

Just take a look at the weekend’s lineup of deliciousness, then snag your spot here. Yes, you deserve it all!

Friday, September 29th: Summer Night Fiesta

5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., $40 per person

While poolside overlooking the downtown San Diego skyline, guests will indulge in an array of delectable small plates crafted by the Culinary Art School of Tijuana, using Baja produce and meats provided by Sano y Punto for the event.

The event will serve as the official debut for the culinary students. While sipping on a variety of Baja wines and beers, live music from jazz chantress Lorraine Castellanos will provide the perfect ambiance for a summer-end celebration.

Saturday, September 30th: Celebrity Chef Night With Claudia Sandoval & Javier Plascencia

7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m., $130 per person

Set in The Westgate Hotel’s enchanting Versailles Ballroom, guests will feast on a four-course prix fixe menu specially crafted by celebrity chefs Claudia Sandoval, winner of Master Chef, and Javier Plascencia, a culinary ambassador of Baja, California.

Each chef will construct two courses using sustainably sourced ingredients. Enhanced with wine pairing from Valle de Guadalupe and live music, the night is sure to leave you satiated and stress-free.

Eat Great Food…And Do Some Good, Too!

The Westgate Hotel, in partnership with the Mexican Consulate of San Diego and the Culinary Art School of Tijuana, have chosen to redirect a portion of the proceeds from their upcoming Borderless Dine & Wine event to support the Mexico Earthquake relief. Proceeds will be directly donated to Cruz Roja Mexicana, registered by the Government of Mexico.

With the purchase of tickets to either Friday or Saturday nights’ event of Borderless Dine & Wine, guests will not only be celebrating the spirit of Baja but also supporting the much-needed relief efforts to those rebuilding their communities and reuniting with loved ones.
