Sky Deck Announces 100% Occupancy And Opening Rollout

Del Mar Highlands Town Center is setting its eye on the upcoming opening of Sky Deck late spring with the addition of Glass Box, an Asian coastal inspired kitchen + bar. This brings Sky Deck to full and complete occupancy and rounds out the restaurant collective’s offerings spanning over 10 new and unique culinary, cocktail, and craft beer concepts.

Glass Box serves up Asian coastal-inspired small bites

An eye-catching design and intimate dining experience, the Glass Box will bring an extraordinary glass-encased setting within the Sky Deck. This unique design setting provides highly coveted seating where diners can enjoy a chance to meet the sushi chefs at their raw bar while they serve Yakatori, sushi, and other Asian coastal-inspired small bites.

Omakase will also be available allowing guests to leave themselves in the hands of the chef to enjoy a customized meal which is seasonal, elegant, artistic and uses the finest ingredients available. Customers will be able to dine both in and out of the Glass Box dining experience with both spaces providing access to everything on the menu. Locally, the chefs have also earned accolades and loyal customers for their Zen Modern Asian Bistro located in San Diego. This will be the second restaurant location for the family-owned and operated restaurant group.

“We wanted to create a transparent dining experience because we think authenticity and integrity is important particularly when it comes to the type of food we are serving,” said Chef Ethan Yang. “The beauty of taste and art are synonymous, and we want to make sure our customers experience both.”

“We are excited to have our collective restaurant partnerships complete and now prepare for opening,” said Tim Sullivan, property manager of Del Mar Highlands Town Center. “Together, these dining concepts create a one-of-a-kind destination.”

Soon to be a local favorite!

Sky Deck, with its maritime industrial design, brings an entirely new look and feel to Del Mar Highlands Town Center offerings. Serving as its own destination within the 400,000 square foot center, Sky Deck is poised to become a favorite of locals and worth the drive for diners who crave tastes from around the world.

Now with a fully committed tenant roster featuring one-of-a-kind establishments with each having their own exclusive dining area and all found at Sky Deck, excitement is building even more for its official grand opening.

The full complement of dining options includes a central cocktail bar and dining concept known as Understory by Scott Slater; an outdoor “brewer’s deck” featuring Northern Pine, Rough Draft Brewing, and Boochcraft Kombucha; and dining experiences from Ambrogio15, the Milano pizza experience; Urbana Mexican Gastronomy; Le Parfait Paris; J at Sky Deck; Craft House; Kiin Extraordinary Thai; Marufuku Ramen; Zizikis Street Food; and Glass Box. Get ready for sunset views and delicious date nights under Sky Deck’s signature rooftop skylight measuring 34’ x 60’.

Stay healthy, San Diego!
