Try These Amazing Take-Out Options From Some Of San Diego’s Top Eateries!

Where to get take-out when you want something special? Now that the stay-at-home order has gone into effect, may of San Diego’s top eateries are pivoting to give you options that are NOT your typical take-out!

Mille Fleurs at Home

A rotating, 3-course prix-fixe take-out menu of French classic dishes from Chef de Cuisine Mike Moritz and Pastry Chef “Papa” Moussa Ndiyae is available for pickup Wednesday – Sunday from4PM to 8PM. Wine aficionados will still have access to the Mille Fleurs wine cellar online as well through a special wine list available for retail purchase at retail prices. Craft cocktail enthusiasts will also be able to purchase libations by the bottle, pre-mixed for ease and enjoyment.

Campfire Smokehouse

Introducing Campfire Smokehouse, open Thursday – Sunday for pickup or delivery with all tips going directly in Campfire’s Employee Relief Fund to help with short-term financial difficulties — no profits will be retained by the restaurant.

Campfire’s Smokehouse features pastured half and whole birds, brisket and pulled pork along with sides like Brunswick Stew, Milk Bread Buns and Matty’s Mac ’n’ Cheese. The Holy Smokes Feast includes: A Half Bird, 1 Lb Brisket, 1 Lb Pulled Pork, Two Andouille Sausage Links, Matty’s Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Twice Baked Potato, Brunswick Stew, Coleslaw, and 4 Milk Bread Buns.

Nolita Hall

The elevated Northern Little Italy drink emporium, Nolita Hall, will launch a New York-style pizza pop-up. The pies will be prepared in its heritage Italian Forza Forni wood-fired pizza oven, as the previous Neapolitan-style pizza menu. All proceeds will benefit the restaurant’s staff. A walk-up happy hour, plus takeout cocktails, beer and wine, will also be offered.

Carruth Cellars

All three of the urban winery’s tasting room locations, Carlsbad, Solana Beach and Little Italy, will remain open for to-go wine and food purchases daily from 1PM to 8PM.  Safely pick-up a member bottle, purchase wine (6+ bottles with a 10% discount) and purchase take-home cheese boards complete with artisan bread/crackers, cheeses, salamis and add-ons, including French butter with sea salt, fig spread and vegan pesto, to complement your wine at-home. Plus, local’s favorite wood-fired pizzas will continue to be available at the Little Italy wine garden.

For its wine club members, Carruth Cellars has launched a new glass exchange program. Pick-up a mason jar of your favorite wine and simply exchange it for a fresh jar when done. $3 deposit/per mason jar and food purchase required. As part of its Pay it Forward series, Carruth Cellars will also continue to offer the 2019 Pinot Noir Rose benefitting its staff.

Sideyard BBQ by HottMess

Sideyard BBQ by HottMess launched its take-out menu on Thursday, November 17th — just one month (to the day) after opening its doors in Barrio Logan’s The Boiler. The limited menu of favorites, by Chef Kenzo Inai and Master of the Pit David Kendall, will include sandwiches (Brisket, Turkey, Pulled Pork, Cauliflower), chili (served over white rice) and sides (Pineapple Coleslaw, Chente Beans, Chile Mac N Cheese). Walk-up or order online, Thursday through Sunday from 12PM to 6PM.


Mister A’s

Culinary Director Stephane Voitzwinkler and his team are finalizing special take-out menus featuring Mister A’s signature selections to celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve. Stay tuned.

Civico by the Park

The Calabrian duo behind the Civico brand are launching customizable picnic baskets with traditional and vegan Italian options and bottles of wine in addition to providing free local delivery when you order directly through the Civico by the Park website. Monday -Thursday 4PM-9PM,  Fri-Sun 11:30AM – 2PM and 4PM- 9PM, Fri and Sat until 10PM. Launching Family Bundles: $39 salad, pizza, pasta. Wine and cocktails to go – wine bottles at retail price. Finalizing Christmas prix fixe special with free delivery.


Jeune et Jolie Launches “Extraordinaire”

Dinner and drinks to enjoy from home from chef Eric Bost of Jeune et Jolie from Friday – Sunday. Available for pick up or delivery (DoorDash). All tips going directly in Employee Relief Fund to help with short-term financial difficulties — no profits will be retained by the restaurant. Prix Fixe will change every two weeks.
