Temakeria Makes Weekly Residency At Novo Brazil Brewing

Temakeria, a food trailer featuring Japanese-Brazilian cone-shaped sushi hand rolls called temaki, has begun a weekly residency at Novo Brazil Brewing Company’s Lane Avenue taproom in Chula Vista on Wednesdays from 4PM–9PM.

There are eight different rolls on the menu that are loaded with fresh fish, including salmon, shrimp, tuna, and ceviche ranging in price from $11 – $13.

And if you’re not a raw fish person, there also is a grilled salmon version, and an option for vegans, as well, called shimeji.

Special combos are offered: two temakis for $21 and three temakis for $30. Extras for all temakis include “make it creamy” for $0.50 and “make it spicy” for $0.50.

Temakeria was founded by Brazilian immigrants Andre Dieguez and Leandro Silva last October in Pacific Beach.

Temakerias are found throughout Brazil, which is home to the largest Japanese diaspora in the world, and this is believed to be the first in San Diego. For more info, follow them on Instagram.

Novo Brazil Brewing is located at 901 Lane Ave #100, Chula Vista, CA 91914.

See you there, San Diego!
