The Hopper Launching in San Diego To Provide Hop-On, Hop-Off Service Around The City

We love pretending to be tourists in our own town…pretending to be a tourist is a great way to learn more about the city! Now The Hopper is making it easier to do!

The Hopper™, a premier integrated transportation and attraction service, will launch in San Diego in early April to provide visitors and locals an opportunity to learn about and explore the city’s best sights in comfort and style.

To allow for total customization of their agenda, customers can “hop on & off” The Hopper buses at any of the six locations:

Old Town
Embarcadero
Seaport Village
Gaslamp Quarter
Balboa Park
Little Italy

The double-decker buses feature premier amenities of climate control, concessions with refreshments and snacks and on-board restrooms. The buses also include technological features such as 4G Wi-Fi to stay connected and electric outlets to keep phones and cameras charged for a long day of sightseeing. All buses are ADA accessible and include additional storage underneath to easily store strollers, daytime bags or shopping purchases between stops.

The Hopper allows customers to design their own day and create unique experiences while also gaining anecdotal and historical facts about the city. The buses will stop at each of the six locations every half hour, so guests can “hop on & off” whenever they like.

Customers can also upgrade to the Hopper Plus package that includes admission for various partner attractions–such as Hornblower harbor cruises, the USS Midway Museum, Maritime Museum and more–which are conveniently located near the stops along the bus route.

Starting in early Spring ticket packages can be purchased online beforehand, at The Hopper office in Old Town or at kiosks opening around the city.

We’ll see you on The Hopper!
