Piedra Santa Brings Argentinian Heat to Little Italy
A new fire has lit up Little Italy—Piedra Santa, an Argentinian-inspired steakhouse, is now open and bringing the bold, smoky tradition of open-flame grilling to the heart of the neighborhood. This sultry newcomer is all about celebrating the art of asado the Argentine way—one perfectly charred steak at a time.
Founded by seasoned San Diego restaurateurs Alberto Morreale and Roberto Ciacciofera, Piedra Santa delivers the kind of warmth and flavor that makes you want to linger over your glass of Malbec just a little longer.

The vibe is stylish but unfussy, with a 3,000-square-foot interior anchored by rich textures and ambient lighting, plus a cozy outdoor patio for al fresco nights with friends.
What to Expect
The star of the show? Dry-aged steaks grilled over an open flame—served with house-made chimichurri and sides that let the ingredients speak for themselves.
Pair your plate with a glass (or bottle) from their well-curated Argentine wine list, or go for one of the signature cocktails if you’re in the mood for something shaken.
There’s also a semi-private lounge perfect for small groups and special occasions—ideal if you’re looking for a spot to host that next celebration without the stuffiness.
