San Diego’s food scene just got even more enticing, thanks to the arrival of Slowly—a captivating new restaurant and lounge from the masterminds behind beloved local favorites like Landini’s Pizzeria and Ristorante Illando.

Slowly Restaurant & Lounge

Crafted by the visionary duo of Leo and Christine Landini, Slowly promises to whisk you away on a culinary journey that’s equal parts chef-driven and heartwarming.

As Leo Landini, hailing straight from Italy, puts it, “In the Mediterranean, meals are more than just food—they’re an experience shared with loved ones.” And that’s precisely the spirit Slowly aims to capture.

Elevating Mediterranean Flavors

Helming the kitchen is the talented Executive Chef Yadira Cuevas, whose lifelong passion for cooking shines through in every meticulously crafted dish.

Feast your eyes on the “Slow Starters” menu, where you’ll find gems like the tuna crudo, showcasing sushi-grade tuna in a poke sauce with chili oil and sesame seeds, as well as the vibrant carrot salad featuring shaved heirloom carrots, asparagus, pickled beets, orange, and a punchy poppy seed-dill dressing.

When it comes to the “Masterful Mains,” prepare to have your taste buds transported. Chef Cuevas’ signature herb-marinated chicken, served with a dreamy cauliflower purée, sautéed asparagus, and a zesty chimichurri sauce, is a must-try.

And for the pork lovers, the Sweet and Slow pork chop, with its guajillo pepper sauce and sweet citrus harissa, is sure to leave you craving more.

Sip, Savor, and Socialize

Of course, no culinary journey is complete without the perfect beverage pairing. Slowly’s craft cocktail menu is a true work of art, with concoctions like the Tranquil Tiki Dream, a tropical fusion of white rum, ginger liqueur, lime juice, blue triple sec, pineapple juice, and coconut milk.

For a more classic twist, the Whispering Ember’s Old-Fashioned, with its blend of vodka, rum, lemon juice, and orange liqueur, is sure to delight.

Whether you’re planning an intimate dinner or a celebratory gathering, Slowly’s inviting ambiance, complete with oversized banquettes, cozy chairs, and vibrant hues, provides the perfect backdrop. And with weekend valet service, you can arrive in style and soak up the lively atmosphere.
