Winter Brunch And Dinner Menus Have Arrived To InsideOUT

With the changing of the seasons, a new seasonal winter menu created by Executive Chef Mary Jo Testa has arrived at insideOUT, San Diego’s only Urban Oasis, in the bustling and vibrant neighborhood of Hillcrest.

Come inside, dine outside

A space like none other in San Diego, you come inside to dine outside, away from the hustle and bustle of the street and passerby’s. Our completely outdoor & heated venue allows us to serve guests socially distant and safely with a unique ambiance, stellar service, and excellent food and drinks.

With a new menu also comes a new addition to the culinary team, sous chef Johnny Duran. Johnny has 15 years experience cooking in San Diego and chef MJ and the insideOUT family are excited to have him on board!

California-Mediterranean dinner fare

Always a scratch-kitchen, insideOUT’s California-Mediterranean dinner fare is, “inspired by Chef MJ’s Southern California roots and time living and working at her family’s restaurant in Italy. Chef MJ’s unique experience and wealth of knowledge is why she is able to dazzle us with elevated dishes that infuse the the two cultures so ingeniously!”

Chef MJ’s new winter menu combines the California and Mediterranean cuisine’s with warm and seasonal ingredients. Some of those dishes include the rustic Red Beet Hummus Toast with activated charcoal bread, whipped goat cheese florrets, ninja radish, pistachio crumbs, lemon olive oil, and mirco lettuces.

Enjoy the umami Spaghetti Superior with sweet Italian sausage, radicchio, foraged mushrooms, roasted fennel, fontina fondue, and cured egg yolk or the lucious Burgundy Braised Short Rib with garlic sautéed red chard, pumpkin ravioli, pickled chard stems, fried shallots, and a braising jus reduction.

Weekend brunch menu

The weekend brunch menu has also got a revamp, making insideOUT a premier spot for Sunday Funday in San Diego. Try the decadent Lobster Cakes with crisp pan-seared cakes topped with poached eggs, lemon cream sauce, asparagus & salmon roe or the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich with thinly sliced smoked ham, scrambled eggs, swiss and cheddar cheese, maple mustard, served with arugula and tomato salad.

For something sweet devour the Challah French Toast with thick-sliced cinnamon-raisin challah bread, whipped cream, banana, fresh berries, & toasted almonds or the snazzy yet simple Italian Breakfast with double espresso and mini donuts filled with Nutella and pastry cream. Wash it all down with our new Brunch Champs ($20) for a bottle of champs and 2 choices of juice or a Peach Blossom Pitcher, all great for sharing!

insideOUT is open Tuesday – Friday for happy hour from 4PM to 6PM, Tuesday – Saturday for dinner from 4PM to 10PM, Saturday brunch from 11AM – 3PM and Sunday brunch from 11AM – 5PM. Date Night every Thursday from 4PM – 10PM featuring 2 salads, 2 entrees, and a bottle of wine for $59.00!

See you there….and stay healthy, San Diego!
