Your Next Meal Should Be In A Trailer Park

The thing about inspiration is that it can come from anywhere — even from a trailer park.

Trailer Park After Dark is the newest concept from Nader Marvi and Rosana Nanci, who previously owned a club in San Francisco before their move to San Diego.

Located on Fifth Avenue in Gaslamp, the restaurant stays true to its name, equipped with repurposed vintage trailers available for private dining events, bar stools made from shopping carts, and wheelbarrows for chairs.

Chef Kelly Waters created the self-described “bumped up trashy American fare” menu with Frito pies and tater tots both topped with chili and cheese, grilled cheese, and hot dogs — appetizingly named “meat tubes.”

In other cleverly-named items, you’ll find “Mom, the Meatloaf” melt, Sloppy Joe Dirt, and the Twerkin Melon for dessert, which has a graham cracker crust, watermelon gelée, and matcha whipped cream.
