Catch The Green Flash Phenomenon This Summer With Good Tunes, Savory Bites, And Craft BeerSee + Do Have you seen it?!
Have you caught sight of the legendary green flash before!?
This natural phenomenon occurs right after the sun settles below the horizon and emits a green light for a short 1-2 seconds.
In San Diego, we have prime viewing conditions for the green flash, and the Birch Aquarium is all about celebrating it with their summer concert series (aptly named “Green Flash Concert Series”).
Taking place once a month, the series offers more than just amazing music. It is all about those panoramic ocean views, savory bites, craft beers, and wines, too! Not to mention this all takes place at the aquarium’s stunning outdoor Tide-Pool Plaza.
Tickets ($35.95+) include concert attendance, parking, and entrance to all aquarium exhibits starting at 5:30pm!
Here’s a look at the summer lineup:
- Wed, July 19: Steve Poltz with Opener Berkley Hart
- Wed, August 16: Milo Greene with Opener The Verigolds
- Wed, September 27: Pine Mountain Logs and Venice
So we’ll see you there?! You can find us in the Giant Kelp Forest checking out endangered species like this Giant Black Sea Bass!
