Learn About The LadyKillas Of San Diego And Join Their Mystic Carnival

Women in leadership is something that is becoming more and more common, but there is still an undeniable lack of female boss ladies throughout all industries. This is something that Courtney Wall, President and CEO of LadyKillas.com, noticed when she graduated from college.

As a graphic designer, she explains, “there is a significant lack of women in leadership, especially in art… and all industries for that matter.”

Lady Killas started as a group of six people and has grown to having sometimes over 100 people from all different backgrounds attending their monthly events; where they get together as a community to collaborate and motivate each other to make a difference and raise the percentage of women in leadership.

In celebration of their first anniversary, Lady Killas is throwing a Mystic Carnival-themed event at the Moniker Group on Friday, July 28th. At this event, they will also be celebrating the launch of their website and product line.

The party is a chance to “channel your inner bohemian spirit or carnival babe for a mystical, magical & thrilling evening where the surprises and spectaculars await.”

They will have all local, female vendors at the event, a free beauty bar, live art, a DJ and other local sponsors. Guests are also encouraged to look the part – if you need a little inspiration, they have created a Pinterest Board here for some ideas.

I had the chance to speak with Courtney and what really stuck out to me (besides the fact that we share the same awesome name) is that she said that Lady Killas is all inclusive: “We don’t say that men can’t come – a lot of guys come.”

She also pointed out that Lady Killas doesn’t have a feminist agenda; the group is more about motivation and inspiration, and the event isn’t just about networking, it’s more just about finding time to grow community.

For all you boss ladies, strong women, mothers, sisters, daughters and overall badass babes, you’re definitely going to want to check the Mystic Carnival out! Get tickets at LadyKillas.com.

A portion of the event proceeds go to the Malala fund; a foundation which champions every girl’s right to 12 years of free, safe and quality education worldwide.
