Hotels/Motels Transforms The Lafayette Hotel Into A Giant Art Show This Weekend

Artists from all over San Diego and LA will transform Lafayette Hotel rooms into galleries, stages, and project spaces this weekend at the Hotels/Motels Unofficial Art Fair 2017.

The event, presented by Fallen Tree Exhibitions, will launch on the evening of December 15th in North Park, with an opening night celebration, and will continue all day Saturday, December 16th.

In the spirit of renaissance, the 2017 Hotels/ Motels will return to San Diego, where the inaugural exposition was held. In 2000, we occupied the Motel 6, and then surfaced again at the downtown Travelodge in 2003. Before the urban redevelopment, downtown was a vibrant arts district, comprised of galleries, artist studios, and art centers. It was an exciting time for the arts and Hotels/ Motels was a significant addition!

With the launch of Hotels /Motels 2017, Fallen Tree Exhibitions hopes to contribute to the revitalization of San Diego’s burgeoning art scene, generate excitement, and restore demand for contemporary art and culture in San Diego.

See you there!
